SELF-ESTEEM

It is very interesting to know how much we have been endowed with much potential, potential that we are not even aware of. There is this attitude that i term "The Gideon Factor" which goes a long way to influence our self
esteem in no small way.
In the story of Gideon (Jgs 6;12), he belittled himself thinking he is not capable of the task assigned to him.Later
on ,he realizes he is a man of valor, he was able to show the true image of himself thereby saving the people of Israel.
In this era of life,it takes people who never devalue themselves but see themselves as capable of doing everything under the sun to get their dreams come true. The optimists are always on top because they never give up- they use the smallest opportunity as means of reaching higher heights. On the other hand ,the pessimists fall back attributing failure to other factors which can never be described.
We have all been obliged: be ti academic, ministerial appointment, social relationship, e.t.c to run the race for one "ultimate prize" but it takes people who never give up to win this prize.
To us who still believe we can do better, let us not belittle ourselves, for we can stand tall without standing on someone and be victors without having victims.
Aim high, see yourself at the top and the "ultimate prize " will be yours. Always remember that your self-esteem reflects  your self-image.
